Radio 59, side B, track 3: “Dirty Deeds” by Joan Jett

Joan Jett - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt CheapOh, Joan Jett, holy shit this song rocks!  Did you know that this was the first AC/DC song I’d ever heard, Joan Jett?  Of course, at the time, I didn’t know that this was originally by AC/DC, I just knew you were singing it and I knew that I loved it.  I also didn’t know until pretty much this post that you had a whole album of covers, and if the rest of them are anything like this, why the hell have I not already bought it?!?!?!  Seriously, Joan Jett, as you know, I’m not a fan of change and I’m not a fan of covers of established songs, but in your case I’ll make an exception.  Maybe it’s sacrilegious to say, but this cover is just as good as the original.  Of course, I might be biased because I love you so and I heard this version first, but I also love me some AC/DC and I know how hard they rock, so I feel that this is a well-informed opinion.  Also, on a separate note, is it wrong that I just want to stare at that picture of you and gaze into your eyes for about a hundred years?

My wife is telling me that yes, it is.  I could tie that back into some of the lyrics on this one about having a lady and wanting her gone, but I’m wondering if that would be inappropriate.

My is wife is telling me that yes, it would be.
