Oh, The Black Crowes, I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t believe that this one actually had any lyrics. None in any known written language, anyway. Oh, I thought it was great, and sure, I recognized a “baby” and “good lovin'” here and there, but when you’d hit the chorus, no idea. As much as I enjoy lyrics, sometimes I don’t understand why all songs need them. Like this one, for example. The lyrics are clearly secondary, and it’s not like you’re making an attempt to make them comprehensible anyway. Why not just go full out and make them complete and utter nonsense? Then guys like me don’t need to be worried about “what it all means” and we can just get to enjoying the music.
