Oh, Poison, I was hoping one of your songs would show up on BOB, and it’s no surprise that the first one that did is the one that I recorded the hell out of when I was a kid. I don’t know that I have any new insights into this song since the last time I wrote about it 3 1/2 years ago (has it really been that long?!?!), but what I can say is that it hasn’t lost any of its magic. And by that I mean it still makes me super sad. I was feeling pretty up tonight, which is rare for me these days, and then I listened to this song and I’m all kinds of bummed. But it’s the good kind of bummed, the kind you can only get from listening to a heartfelt song like this one. It’s like every rose has its thorn or something.
