Oh, The Pointer Sisters, damn ladies. I did not realize how sexual all y’all’s music was. Pretty sure this was another of my favorites when I was six or seven, meaning that it’s very likely that I was singing about how I wanted a man with a slow hand who didn’t come and go in a heated rush right about the time I was going into kindergarten. I also really enjoyed the version they used in that Schick razor commercial. I wouldn’t have ever thought this about you, The Pointer Sisters, but if I ever have kids, they probably can’t listen to your music until they’re 18. Just so I don’t get any weird looks at the grocery store.
