Oh, Stone Temple Pilots, damn y’all are awesome. I think I just took y’all for granted back in the day, you were the background music to the soundtrack of my first year in college, and I was too self-centered to truly appreciate just how lucky I was to be living in a time when this song was new. Also, I thought the lyrics were “When the dogs devour her”. Now that I know it’s about finding a dead woman in a forest, I don’t think my interpretation is that much darker than yours. Still pretty dark, though. And having just started watching “Mindhunter” on Netflix, I really don’t want to analyze what that could possibly mean, Stone Temple Pilots. Let’s just leave it at that y’all are a fantastic band since that’s something we can all agree on and not have nightmares about.
